intended to facilitate diagnoses of lower gastrointestinal disorders. This

  • The test should only be used for qualitative detection of human haemoglobin in stool samples
  • Not all colorectal haemorrhages are related to cancer, results can be related to haemorrhoids, constipation, etc.
  • As with all diagnostic tests, a definitive clinical diagnosis should not be based on a single test, a diagnosis can be made only by a physician after all clinical and laboratory results have been evaluated
